Texas7's believes student-athletes need to prepare themselves to become NCAA ready sooner rather than later. In addition to excelling on the field, student-athletes are required to excel in the classroom. Doing so makes that student-athlete more "recruitable" in the eyes of recruiters. It is believed high test scores [SAT, ACT] and high marks in the required core courses display a disciplined student-athlete. If a student-athlete has aspirations to attend an NCAA institution, before even being considered, both parents and student-athletes need to be aware of test and core-course requirements established by the NCAA.
